Apply button in Fields window is not working anymore

This used to work and without any changes on my side just stopped. I am able to select fields in the Fields window and move them between rows, values and filters, but when I click 'Apply' nothing happens.

Our team would like to know more details about this case. Could you please send us:

Errors in browser's console (if present).
Screenshots containing Field List with a slice configuration that does not apply.

One of the possible scenarios, when nothing happens on clicking the apply button, is when the Field List has empty "Values" tab. That means that no data aggregations are selected to display (in other words, the selected slice is invalid). In this case, the "Apply" button turns gray and becomes inactive.
