Custom Footer

Answered
Rushi Lonkar asked on June 28, 2023

Hello,
I looked around the existing tickets and noticed that the Flexmonster grid does not support custom footers. But, most of those tickets were a bit old and I wanted to check if some of that functionality is now available. I wanted to add some custom lines to the footer as shown in the attached layout. That data is present in the JSON but our users want it to be displayed in the footer instead of columns which makes it difficult.
Thank you,
Rushi

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

At the moment, Flexmonster does not support adding custom footers. Alternatively, you can create the other Flexmonster Grid component below with the necessary data. You are welcome to check the following JSFiddle for reference: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/mgk375su/
If the report on the first grid changes, you can use Flexmonster API calls to apply those changes on the second grid.

Please let us know if it works for you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Nadia

Hi Nadia,
Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, I don't think the two grid idea would work in our case since our Export to Excel would become a bit tricky to handle, to merge two different excel sheets together. Also, the charting feature would be limited as well.
I was thinking of another idea but for that I wanted to know if it is possible to remove some values from the Filter option. E.g. For a Country column, there are 10 available values but I want the user to see only 8 for selection in the Filter popup. The rest 2 are somehow hidden from the user.
Thanks,
Rushi

Hello,

Thank you for the response.

Kindly note that currently, the best approach for displaying extra information is by creating a new Flexmonster component, as demonstrated in our earlier response.
Regarding removing some values from the Filter popup, the best option is not to load those records to Flexmonster. Flexmonster displays all received data for the field in the Filter popup. To hide a specific member, simply do not include it in your data source.
Please let us know if it works for you or if you prefer to display those values on the grid while excluding them from the Filter view.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Nadia

Hello Nadia,
I am working with our users to see if they can change their requirements so we can display the footer items as columns instead. If they agree, this issue won't be there anymore.
I will mark this ticket as Resolved and re-open if I need any more help.
Thanks,
Rushi
