Flexmonster 3.0 preview ashx controller and mjs module integration into asp.net

Answered

Thanks we have Flexmonster non-Accelerator integrated into our asp.net website via importing the .mjs module and connecting it to our SSAS XMLA .ashx handler.

In the 3.0 preview I see a single .js and .css file, no module, so I can't integrate it as we have it.

Will Flexmonster 3.0 support this, or a controller implementation similar to what the Accelerator provides in a dll?

Hello Yosef,

Thank you for contacting us!

You are correct, in the current preview build, we only provide the .js and .css files. The module-based build is not yet included. However, we will add ES module support in future releases.

Regarding SSAS, we would like to clarify if you are asking whether Flexmonster 3.0 will still support connecting to the SSAS cube directly via XMLA without a server-side component (like Flexmonster Accelerator)? It would greatly help us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Nadia

Hi Nadia,

Thank you for answering regarding the modules.

Thanks for clarifying, yes for SSAS I was asking whether it supports a proxy layer between Flexmosnter and SSAS that allows us to customize authentication, Row Level security and other XMLA changes before reaching SSAS.

We use a custom ASP.NET .ashx-based XMLA proxy with non-Accelerator Flexmonster. Accelerator I understand has an integrated dll mode Flexmonster.Accelerator.dl, which also provides a proxy layer via an asp.net controller.

Will 3.0 support a customizeable proxy layer as well?

Hello Yosef,

Thank you for providing us with additional details!

We plan to include support for a customizable proxy layer in future releases, providing more flexibility and control.

You are welcome to contact us if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Nadia
