Programmatically select cells

Answered
Claudio Raggio asked on January 2, 2024

HI,
I need to do this:
Select a cell, for example row 1 column 1 and then select a cell, for example row 5 column 5 by holding down SHIFT and ensuring that all the cells between the vertex and the opposite selected vertex are selected (creating a rectangle).
I looked in the documentation for an API to programmatically select multiple cells, but I didn't find it.
Can you suggest a tip?
A thousand thanks,
Claudio

Hi Claudio,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Could you please provide us with more details on how you want to select multiple cells using the API call? Do you want them to be selected by the row and column indexes? It would greatly help us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Nadia

Hi Nadia,
I have attached an example image of what I would like to implement.
To do this, I might just need an API that allows me to programmatically select a group of cells.
Something like

setSelectedCells(cells)

Hello Claudio,

We are pleased to inform you that it is now possible to select a group of cells using Shift + click. Click the necessary cells with the Shift key pressed, and Flexmonster will select the cell area between them.

This feature is provided in the 2.9.69 version of Flexmonster: https://www.flexmonster.com/release-notes/version-2-9-69/

You are welcome to update the component: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/updating-to-the-latest-version/

Please let us know if the feature works fine for you.

Kind regards,
Nadia
