Update Data Server to last version

Answered
Andrea Fabbri asked on September 17, 2024

Hello,

we have Flex data server installed has a service v. 2.9.8, we want update to last versione 2.9.84.

In production server, we have changed the exe file than uninstall and install the service as always, the service is created but it's not starting and we see the error attached.

The only way to get the service started is deleting the https setting in the config file

"HTTPS": {
  "Enabled": true,
  "Certificate": {
  "Path": "***.pfx",
  "Password": "*****"
},
"Protocols": "Http1AndHttp2"
}

But if we do the same things on a develop pc all works fine with https settings.

It may be some OS requirement not respected by the production server? Or something else?

Thanks for your answer Solomiia,

I run the "flexmonster update fds" command, than I restarted the service but the error is the same.

Hello, Andrea!

Thank you for your swift response.

Our team suggests deleting the Data Server from your machine completely and installing it again via installation guide. Please don't forget to backup your Data Server configurations and HTTPS certificate.

Please let us know if reinstalling the Data Server from scratch helps.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Solomiia
