I want to update only some selected rows/columns of the pivot based on some
external event.

Is it possible to do that ?

Hello, Ganesh,
Thank you for posting your question on our Support Forum.
Partial updating of the data is available for JSON data source only (JSFiddle sample). For all other data sources, we suggest using updateData API call for connecting to a new data source.
