How to showDrillThroughConfigurator w/ MS Analysis Services

Answered
Braxton Goodman asked on July 10, 2018

The Field List tool is not in the upper right corner of the drill-through view.  I am using the MS Analysis Services implementation of the pivot grid to access my OLAP cube using the Flexmonster Accelerator.  I would like to be able to configure the column headings as they are not friendly names.  If this is not an option, I would like to at least be able to choose which columns to show.  Additionally, the data is from my measures/fact table columns which contain key values that are not meaningful to the end user. If I could access the Field List, I thought I may have the opportunity to select the fields I want and save the configuration to json and then use as my default view.
The Flexmonster-Documentation-2.3.pdf indicates that the showDrillThroughConfigurator is configurable for the MS Analysis Services pivot grid, but it also says that true is the default.  Either way, I cannot get it to show up.
Initially I was unable to display any data in the drill-through view using XLMA.  When I switched to use the Accelerator, it started working.  Now I just need to tweek the data that is displayed.

Hello, Braxton,
Thank you for posting to our Support Forum!
The data shown in the drill through is derived from the table rows that were evaluated to calculate the clicked cell and column headings are shown as is. There is no option to configure which columns can be shown as the Field List for the drill-through view is available only for CSV, JSON and OCSV data sources. showDrillThroughConfigurator is not available for the MS Analysis Services pivot grid.
However, we can suggest you the following approach: this tutorial from Microsoft states that roles defined on the server affect the data shown in the drill-through view. You can restrict certain roles to see some of the columns and hereby hide this data from the drill-through view.
Please let me know in case of any other questions.
Regards,
Tanya
