Our IT team has altered us that they are "continuing to receive a number of alerts about the acceleratorservice.exe, the hash signature of the file in question is being flagged by 30+ anti virus vendors." They would like to know if there is a way for them "to ensure the hashes on the vendors download page match what’s on the server."
This is an urgent item for us as they want to shut the acceleratorservice.exe service off if we cannot quickly resolve their request.
Hi Tavon,
Thank you for contacting us promptly regarding the situation.
We are aware of the false positive identification of the Flexmonster Accelerator service as a threat and the component was updated already to resolve this issue.
In more details, the reason for the alerts was in the toolset we used to build Windows Installer packages which caused the false positive identification of acceleratorservice.exe as a threat. We've already switched to the different mechanism of building the Flexmonster Accelerator service and the most up-to-date version of the Flexmonster Accelerator service should pass a scan successfully.
We kindly ask you to download the latest version from our website and update both the Accelerator and Flexmonster Pivot. Everything should work fine then without any alerts.
Please let us know if the issue is resolved on your side after the update to the latest version.
Kind regards,
Iryna
