Disabling cells, rows, or columns?

Hi! Our team would like to use Flexmonster to edit a data set where only some columns and some rows are editable, and the rest are disabled. We can use the datachanged event to revert changes the user makes if he/she does it for a "disabled" cell, but we are not able to disable the textinput that appears altogether. While we can use coloring schemes to message the users that they should not edit the cells in question, having the textinput pop-up is counter-intuitive. Would it be possible to get support for proper disabling of rows and columns?

Hello, Vesa,

Thank you for posting a question.

For now, the component does not allow enabling the editing only for some columns. If the editing feature is enabled it is applied to all rows and columns. That's why we suggest using the coloring approach you described.

Please let us know in case of any other questions.

Regards,
Tanya

Thanks Tanya. This would be a nice feature to be added in a future release.
