Is there a way to have a "Save as" function so the user can pick the location and name of the file?
Hello Sangamesh,
Thank you for posting your question here.
The feature that you have described is a browser-specific one.
For example, if you are using Chrome you can enable it though the settings: Settings
/Advanced
/Downloads
-> "Ask where to save each file before downloading"
, enable.
That should enable the option to always show the dialog window.
Please let us know incase of any other question.

Dmytro
Thanks. It worked
Hi, what about a browser independent solution to add simple flexmonster ui dialog to name the file before save? That would be a better solution instead of having files like report.json, report (1).json and so on..Of course you can separate this action into two buttons ie. Save, Save As.
Many people are creating various report configuration and using them later, so better if the name actually mean something and you don't need to rename it later on your PC.
Just my two cents.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
We would like to bring to your attention that the filename can be set in the save API call.
In case you would like to add custom behavior to the "Save" Toolbar Tab, the Toolbar can be customized.
Please let us know if you have further questions.
Best Regards,
Vera
