update result in cube data.

Hello Team,
Do we have any event or function where we can update the result of cube in flexmonster before data display in flexmonster grid/pivot table or chart? We have to apply a business logic in the result that we get from cube.

Thank you for writing to us.
 
We would like to explain that at the moment Flexmonster doesn't provide such an option.
 
Our team kindly suggests the following approach:

  1. Query the Cube on the server-side.
  2. Apply the needed business logic to the returned data on the server-side.
  3. Format the resulting data in CSV or JSON format and pass it to Flexmonster.

Hi Vera,
Flexmonster is directly connected to the cube and cube don’t what is filtered result, we are getting filtered result/data in flexmonster (not in cube), so there should be place where we can apply business logic in flexmonster on the result. Please advise.

Hi Vera, 
further to explain the above scenario.. 

Suppose we are getting data of company code A001 and A002 in the flexmonster from the cube, there are some inter-related business rule between these two companies so that business rules should be applied here but if we further filter the displayed data (in the flexmonster) for company code A002 only then the business rule should not be applied because A001 is not there in the result now.

Thank you for providing further details.
 
If we understood your case correctly, you would like to achieve the following:
1) If data for both companies (company code A001 and A002) is present in the report - apply some logic
2) If data for only one of them is present in the report - don't apply logic
 
Flexmonster provides an option to apply some simple customizations via the customizeCell hook: https://www.flexmonster.com/api/customizecell/
 
We would like to explain that in case of more complex logic, Flexmonster doesn't support such functionality for MS Analysis Services data source at the moment.
This is because Flexmonster only displays data that is sent from the server.
