Add default columns with slice option

Answered
Alex Baltodano asked on November 5, 2019

I need color as a single column header, but next to Geography.
And the value (green or red) repeated in the country and its children, not green, red ... as column headers.
Is it possible to do that keeping the compact option and the hierarchy?
We do not need the amount, neither the values as columns, only the value of the property itself.

Hello, Alex,

Thank you for writing to us.

It seems the described layout is not supported at the moment.
In flat form, data is displayed in a non-aggregated form and in classic/compact at least one measure needs to be present in the slice.

Our team would like to find out more about how such layout works.
Could you please provide an example of how such a feature is used, for example in Excel?

You are welcome to contact us in case further questions arise.

Best Regards,
Vera

Here is an example that describes the behavior

Hello, Alex,

Thank you for sharing an example of the desired layout.

In Flexmonster a tree-like structure can be achieved with compact layout by placing fields in rows.
In such a case, the data is aggregated in each cell.
We have prepared a JSFiddle example for illustration: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/3kz8s0aw/

On the other hand, the flat table shows plain structure only (not tree-like): https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/6y48h9v1/

Please feel free to write to us in case of questions.

Best Regards,
Vera
