Hi,
Right now "unique name" is used in formula constructor at the bottom of CalculatedValueEditor.
Is it possible to show caption there instead of unique name? As this is a functionality which is used by end user it would be much clearer for him to see some user-friendly name("caption") as sometimes unique names may be not very understandable for user.
Thanks.
Hello, Artem,
Thank you for your suggestion.
Adding such an option sounds reasonable, and we have added the task to our backlog.
For now, we recommend using captions similar to the name of hierarchy in order to achieve a better understandability for the end-users.
Best regards,
Illia

Hello,
We are pleased to inform you that New useCaptionsInCalculatedValueEditor
option property was added.
By default, Flexmonster uses the field unique names in the calculated value editor. If useCaptionsInCalculatedValueEditor
is set to true
, the component will use the field’s caption instead of the unique name. The default value is false
.
This is included in the 2.8.21 version of Flexmonster: https://www.flexmonster.com/release-notes/.
You are welcome to update the component: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/updating-to-the-latest-version/.
Please contact us in case any questions arise.
Best Regards,
Illia
