differences in webdatarocks

i have switched to the trial version in order to test csv greater than 1MB, but:

  • saving a report does not retain the field separator manually specified in the report.json, the fastest way to let the user create different views upon the same data set
  • it seems not possible to change the name of the aggregated values, ie 'TotVal' instead of 'total sum of valore'.
  • for every value there is an empty column and no record in the column field Anno (year) is empty. in layout options 'shows subtotal rows only' is set
  • how can be set the pivot object height, ie to 80% of the screen?

Hello, Andres,

Thank you for contacting us.

  1. Thank you for reporting about the problem with saving of the fieldSeparator property. The fix for the issue is going to be provided with a minor update ETA Feb 24. We will keep you posted with any updates.
  2. The measure custom grand total caption can be specified as a value of the grandTotalCaption property of the element of measures array. The measures array itself is a property of the slice object. Detailed information about slice object and its properties can be found following the link: Slice Object.
  3. Our team kindly recommends placing values below the fields in the Field List or specifying uniqueName: "[Measures]" at the last position of an array in order to avoid such behavior.
  4. We would like to kindly inform you that size of the component container can be specified in percent using the width and height are properties of the Flexmonster object. Please note that the percent definition allows to set the size of the component depending on its direct parent. More information about the Flexmonster object and its properties can be found following the link: Flexmonster Object.

Please contact us in case of additional questions.

Best regards,
Illia

Hello, Andres,

Thank you for providing detailed information.

We would like to kindly inform you that our team understands your requirements connected with removing blank columns. The request has been added to our backlog; we will keep you posted with any updates on this question.

As for grandTotalCaption property, we would like to inform you that the reason you do not see specified grand total caption is the fact that being placed under the field, subtotals of the measure are displayed. The caption is applied on the grand total correctly.

Even so, subtotals caption can be changed through the caption property. The property itself can be defined in the mapping object. In case name of aggregations has to be hidden as well, we recommend setting the value of showAggregationLabels property to false. The property itself belongs to the options object.
The detailed information about:

Please check out an example we have prepared for you. Custom grandtotal captions can be seen if you scroll to the right.

Also, it would be useful for our investigation if you could provide additional information about the described WebDataRocks feature, connected with editing captions through UI.

Kind regards,
Illia
