Hi,
Column names in flexmonster are displayed as all uppercase. But when it is exported to excel it doesn't retain that all uppercase and just displays how it's written in json. Can we set that all columns to uppercase while exporting to excel as well?
Hi, Abhilash,
Apologies for the late response.
We would like to confirm that there is a solution for this case.
Please specify caption
as an uppercase text in the mapping object of your report.
Note that every field of your dataset should be defined in the mapping. However, the uppercase caption has to be set only for the fields that the user expects to see in the rows, columns, or report filters.
Here is the example: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/p5sobLyf/.
Let us know if it works for you.
Best regards,
Milena
Hi, Thanks. I already have a caption defined in my reports which is normal casing like "Country" that's the reason when it's exported it's showing as "Country". So it's hard to go back to all the report formats in database and update them. Wondering if there is any work around from CSS side or UI side?
Hello, Abhilash,
Thank you for further explanations about your case.
Currently, the hierarchy name is exported to Excel as it is specified in the report (either as it is defined in a uniqueName
or a caption
). The uppercase style was added to Flexmonster via CSS, but this style is not exported with a grid.
Still, with the help of CSS, you can change the hierarchies' names on the grid to a capitalized text instead of uppercase.
If the main point of your request is consistency, this approach could help.
Hope our answer was useful!
Kind regards,
Milena
thanks
