Hi,
We use flexmonster custom API data source and we would like to know if it supports column and row rearranging via drag-n-drop when you are pivoting a table. I see it has column rearranging via drag-n-drop for flat data source (type flat) for json data source.
Please see image attached.
Thanks
Hello, Rodrigo,
Thank you for your question.
Flexmonster supports rearranging fields via drag-n-drop for all data source types.
For example, in the following JSFiddle, the "Category"
and "Color"
fields (in columns) and "Business type"
and "Country"
(in rows) can be rearranged via drag-n-drop.
However, rearranging separate members via drag-n-drop is not supported at the moment (for example, row-wise "Specialty Bike Shop"
and "Value Added Reseller"
(in the JSFiddle) ).
We would like to mention that it is possible to set custom sorting for members via the sortingMethod() API call that may be of interest.
This way, it is possible to rearrange field members during run time. Here is a JSFiddle example for illustration.
Please let us know if any additional questions arise.
Kind regards,
Vera
Good morning Vera,
Have there been any updates to this feature? It would be helpful to allow rearranging separate members via drag-n-drop. This is a common use-case within Excel pivot tables and a request I get often from my clients (we utilize FlexMonster Pivot Tables within our analytics application).
Thank you,
Larry
