Support for week of year formatting

Hello team,

Is there any format/date pattern for something like “week of year” to be used for date string/date type column? Right now I’m using already processed values for my “week of year” column in my project and giving them “string” type. Something like in screenshot_1.

But then I won’t be able to use the filter by date for my “week of year” column because the column type is “string”. The only available filter option is filter by label like in screenshot_2.

The goal is I want to be able to use filter by date in my “week of year” column.

I’ve already read the docs here https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/date-and-time-formatting/#!format-date-string and found out that something like “week of year” is not supported as format/date pattern for date string/date type. But, in case I missed something, I decided to raise a ticket here.

Any help/suggestion will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,

Ragil

Hello, Ragil,

Thank you for contacting us.

You are correct that Flexmonster does not support the "Week of the year" data type. We suggest continuing using the preprocessed values.

Concerning filtering, we suggest using the following workaround to enable date-specific filters:
In addition to preprocessed column representing "Week of the year," pass the column containing raw dates in ISO format to Flexmosnter. For example, the member "2021 Week 35 30/08" will be associated with the date "2021-08-30". Specify the data type of this additional column as "date string." Place this column to report filters in your report and use it to filter values instead of the original column containing weeks. This column will have all the date-specific filters.

Please let us know if it helps.
Feel free to contact us if any additional questions arise.

Kind regards,
Illia
