Upgrade caused icons to break

Answered
Patrick Berens asked on February 24, 2023

We recently upgraded from "react-flexmonster": "2.8.33" TO "react-flexmonster": "2.9.43". We didn't make any other code changes around Flexmonster.

Now Flexmonster is showing "squares" instead of icons in several places. I've attached some screenshots to show where this is occurring.

Any help would be appreciated. We can't easily revert as this was part of a larger initiative where we upgraded React from 16 to 17.0.2.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hello, Patrick!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Kindly note that Flexmonster stores these icons as a separate font that is imported into the CSS styles file. From the described behavior, it seems to us that the icons are not imported to the styles correctly. Could you please check if Webpack is bundling the .svg / .ttf / .woff files on your side?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Solomiia

Our team is wondering if you had some time to try the suggested approach and add the .svg / .ttf / .woff bundling to Webpack. Could you please let us know if it was helpful?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
