Top N filter of Excel and top N filter of FlexMonster calculation is different.
If I add Brand and Retailer in rows with top 10 filter for both fields. ( I am not exporting data through FlexMonster tool)
And if I do same thing with Excel inbuild Pivot functionality with row data.
If I compare result then Excel Pivot taking top 10 value of Retailer of parent Brand only, while FlexMonster has different calculation for top 10 filter.
Please find the attachment.
Is there any option to get top 10 filter value at nested level from FlexMonster Report?
Hello, Kapil!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Kindly note that the top N
filter in Flexmonster works with the topmost level of the hierarchy by design. This means that when you apply a top N
filter to multiple nested fields, it is applied to the highest-level field only.
Our top N
filtering approach is designed to work with Flexmonster's architecture, though we understand that the described behavior might differ from your expectations based on Excel's Pivot functionality.
Hope you will find our answer helpful.
