How do i configure https using an existing aws managed ssl

Answered
robbie asked on August 5, 2024

We have some aws managed ssl that we'd like to use for https.

I am not sure however to configure this.

In AWS, we have a loadbalancer pointing to our ec2 target instances over 50005

The loadbalancer is also registered with the aws managed ssl, and we have a route53 pointing to that same loadbalancer.

When i enable the accelerator https, nothing goes through, not even https://localhost:50005

I am unable to export/import the ssl directly into the ec2 as i am not sure that we can export these managed aws ssl certs.

Hello, Robbie!

Thank you for writing to us.

Kindly note that Flexmonster Accelerator does not support using AWS-managed SSL certificates. To run the Accelerator, you must create and set a separate certificate. Please check our configuring HTTPS guide for the Accelerator: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/configuring-secure-https-connection/

Please let us know if this approach for setting the SSL would work for you.

Best Regards,
Maksym
