Hi Team ,

we have a requirement to display large dataset to view over the flat view , The API call to retrieve data is taking considerable time. Please suggest any possible ways to increase the performace during load of the data where something like pagination can be implemented to display the partial data as more rows are being retrieved over the api

Hello, Pranay!

Thank you for writing to us.

Please note that Flexmonster does not support partial data loading. However, there are still several ways to increase the loading speed. To address this matter better, we would like to know the following information:

  1. Which data source you are currently using?
  2. If you are using JSON, are you using an array of arrays or an array of object format?
  3. What is the size of a loaded dataset? How many columns and rows does it have?
  4. How much time does the loading take?

We are looking forward to hearing your reply.

Best Regards,
Maksym

Hello, Pranay!

Hope you are doing well.
We wanted to follow up on our previous message regarding data loading performance. Is improving the performance is still a relevant topic for you?
Looking forward to your updates.

Hi Maksym ,

We have got a workaround for loading large dataset , where I have reduced the displayed data over a time frequency and archived the rest of the data.

On a different issue , i wanted to understand can we filter the filter depending upon the filter the user has applied
for example , If I have applied filter on time column , and then I want to add filter on column XYZ
I should only see relevant values in there corresponding to time filter applied

Hello, Pranay!

Thank you for your reply.

We are glad you could find a solution for processing large datasets. You are welcome to contact us with any further questions about working with large data volumes in Flexmonster.

Regarding the filtering, note that Flexmonster currently does not support showing values in a filter based on another dimension's filter. We already have this feature added to our wishlist; however, we cannot provide an ETA. Our team will keep you updated on any developments on this matter.

Please let us know if any other questions arise.

Best Regards,
Maksym
