Is there a standard way in Flexmonster to remove specific default colors from charts and replace them with custom ones? If not, could you suggest the best approach to achieve this?
Hello, Raj!
Thank you for reaching out to us. We sincerely apologize for the delay in our response.
Flexmonster Pivot Charts support different approaches for changing the chart color.
Via JS
Using the customizeChartElement
API call, you can customize separate chart elements in Flexmonster Charts. For example, you can add custom attributes or set element colors. This approach is preferred for complex customizations like tying color to a specific member, changing color themes at runtime, or applying a sequential color scheme based on value. Please check this example, which uses customizeChartElement
to change chart colors: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/9m6e8gxn/
Via CSS
Flexmonster Pivot Charts can be colored via CSS by modifying the colors in the .fm-charts-color-n
class, where "n" stands for numeric color index:
.fm-charts-color-1 {
fill: rgb(0, 164, 90) !important;
}
This approach is simpler, and we recommend it for customizations like changing the default colors. This is illustrated in this example: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/wLqupkc5/
Please let us know if our answer helped you.

Maksym
