drillDownCell

drillDownCell(axisName: string, tuple: string[], measureName: string, memberName: string)

[starting from version 2.9.6]

Drills down a specific hierarchy level on the grid and charts.

Note To see the drilled-down level, ensure its parent levels are drilled down and its parent nodes are expanded.

Parameters

Parameter/TypeDescription
axisName
String
The hierarchy level's axis: rows ("rows") or columns ("columns").
tuple
String[]
If the hierarchy is nested in a node, specify unique names of field members that identify the node in the tuple. Otherwise, set this parameter to [].
Live example
measureName
String
Unique name of a measure for which the hierarchy level should be drilled down. Use this property when:
  • The slice has several measures.
  • The hierarchy is nested in measures.
If the measureName is null, the hierarchy level will be drilled down for all measures in the slice.
memberName
String
The name of the hierarchy level to drill down.

Examples

1) Drill down a specific hierarchy level:

pivot.drillDownCell("columns", [], null, "2021");

Live example

2) Drill down a specific level of a nested hierarchy:

pivot.drillDownCell("rows", ["blue"], null, "USA");

Live example

3) Drill down the second hierarchy level:

pivot.drillDownCell("columns", [], null, "geography.[usa].[california]");

Live example

4) Drill down a specific hierarchy level for a specific measure:

pivot.drillDownCell("rows", [], "Price", "USA");
