  • Overview

This is an overview of the filtering features available in Flexmonster.

    Field filters

Using field filters, you can display different data based on members of specific fields from the slice. There are three types of field filters, which provide different functionality for various purposes.

    Filter by condition

Filter field members according to certain criteria using the filter by condition. For example, the following filter configuration shows countries that start with "U":

    Filter

Conditional filter configured to show countries that start with the letter U

    Result

Pivot table showing the results of the applied conditional filter

Learn more about the filter by condition.

    Filter by selection

Choose which field members should be displayed or hidden using the selection filter. For example:

    Filter

Selection filter where Poland, United Kingdom, and Ukraine countries are selected

    Result

Pivot table showing the results of the applied selection filter

Learn more about the filter by selection.

    Filter by value

The value filter allows you to choose a measure and filter field members based on the measure's values. For example, the following filter configuration shows the top 5 countries with the highest product prices:

    Filter

Conditional filter configured to show top 5 countries by product prices

    Result

Pivot table showing the results of the applied value filter

Learn more about the filter by value.

    Report filters

Report filters are special fields used for filtering data without being shown on the grid and charts. The filtering is performed by applying the conditional or selection filters, similar to fields in rows and columns.
