Hello Team,
Recently we are facing an issue with our client. Some users are trying to apply conditional formatting, but it is not getting applied on UI.
Even we checked your provided example, in that also conditional formatting is not getting applied.
Your provided example Conditional formatting for specific values where Quantity less than 10000 should be a different color (#c5e1a5) but showing no formatting is applied on it.
URL: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/gd7woe0g/
Please look into this asap and keep us updated.
Also attached the data.json containing an example where conditional formatting is not getting applied.
Note: We are using various themes provided by flexmonster which users are using.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us.
We want to explain that conditional formatting only can be applied to numeric fields. In your case, data types of all the formatted fields are set to string
.
Please change their data types to number
in the mapping object to activate conditional formatting.
Please let us know if it works for you.
Kind regards,
Illia
Hello,
We are wondering if changing the data type helped for your case.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Illia,
Yes Changing the datatype worked for us.
But the Client has asked one more question if some columns can't be applied conditional formatting then what they showed up in the list of conditional formatting list and making it more confusing for the user.
Can we have only numeric data type columns in that list?
or at least the usable column in the list should be showing up with some different symbol or something like.
Let us know.
Regards,
Ashish Ruikar
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear changing the datatype fixed the issue.
Concerning filtering fields in the conditional formatting pop-up.
We want to confirm that in flat form all the fields chosen to slice will be shown in the corresponding drop-down list despite their data types. Our team agrees that it would be a nice feature to hide fields unable to be formatted. However, our roadmap is full at the moment, therefore we are not ready to provide you with any exact ETA on this point. Still, we will add your request to our customer wish list.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Illia
Hello,
We are glad to inform you that now only available for formatting fields are shown in the conditional formatting pop-up. Non-numeric fields are filtered out.
