ExpandAllData doesn't return all data on last level

Denis asked on May 6, 2021

Flexmonster version: 2.8.32
Hierarchy is constructed of three levels, when I'm using flexmonster.expandAllData(true); to drill-down,  the last level only returns the first item (please see file:Flexmonster_expand_all.mdx.txt for captured query).
When I manually collapse and expand the second level, all items are shown under the third level (please see file:Flexmonster_manual_second_level_expand.mdx.txt for captured query).
When I select the same hierarchy items, slicers, and measure in excel, I get the correct results (please see file:excel_query_with_correct_results.mdx.txt).
Please advise.

Hi Denis,

Thank you for posting your question.

So far, we couldn't reproduce the described behavior on our side.

That being said, could you please provide us with access to a cube where the issue can be replicated so that we can investigate it first-hand? Alternatively, it will also work for us if you send us a dump of the cube, which we can restore locally. Having the report configurations of your Flexmonster instance would also help.

All sensitive info can be sent to us via email if you do not wish to disclose it on the forum.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hi Mykhailo,
unfortunately, we cannot provide our model. Is there a workaround for how can I expand all levels in the hierarchy without using flexmonster.expandAllData functionality?

Denis,

Thank you for your response.

In this case, we'd suggest trying to configure the required expand tuples through the expands object inside the Slice Object.

Alternatively, since you can't provide your cube with the actual data, any chance you could prepare a separate cube with a dummy data set (no real data) where the issue would still be reproducible?

Please let us know your thoughts.

Regards,
Mykhailo
