I am having a problem when I open the Fields tab and continue to add a calculated value, if I click cancel or apply it shows a white box shown in the pictures Fields Dialog - Imgur
We are using 2.8.17 version because we tried upgrading to higher versions but it kept breaking the customization we had, especially at the localization part.

Our team has tested the described behavior on our side. We did not manage to reproduce it: in the 2.8.17 version, the "Apply" and "Cancel" buttons work as expected.
Therefore, could you please provide us with an example where the issue is reproducible? This will greatly help us in our investigation.
Also, could you please specify which issues with customization did you face in higher versions?
We will be grateful if you send us screenshots or further explanations.

It was a mistake in DOM manipulation one of the developers made (me), so it is fixed now.
The localization didn't work when we upgraded to the latest version, the tabs showed only the icons; no translations whatsoever.

We are glad to hear that the issue with the Field List is fixed.
Our team has tested the localization in the 2.8.30 version and everything worked as expected.
Could you please clarify how you set the localization: as a JSON object or a link to the file?
If you load the localization from the file, we suggest checking the Network tab in the Developer Tools of the browser (use Ctrl + Shift + C). Perhaps the file is not loaded to the page.
In case this suggestion does not help, could you please provide us with an example where the issue is reproducible?
