As of v2.9, filtering on any field marked as "type: date string" is not working properly.
In the attached screenshot, the column "LEADDATE" has been marked as "date string" in the mapping object. It has values from 2020-12-23 to 2021-01-13. But in the filter box, when we type "2021" nothing shows up. In previous versions, we would see all dates from 2021-01-01 to 2021-01-13.
Please address this issue.

We did not manage to reproduce this issue on our side. Here is a JSFiddle demonstrating a similar scenario: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/1wpkdtL0/. Filtering seems to work as expected.
Do you think you could provide us with an example where the bug could be reproduced? It is also possible to change the mentioned JSFiddle to demonstrate the issue.

Illia - looks the filtering works when using JSON data source, but breaks when using CSV. Can you check if you are able to reproduce the issue with CSV data source?
Also, this is not a big issue, but when filtering with JSON data source, the filtered results are no longer sorted (pretty sure prior to v2.9, the filtered results retained sorting)

Thank you for providing us with the details. We managed to reproduce the issue using a CSV data source.
We will research possible solutions and provide you with results ETA June 29.
Concerning sorting: if we understand correctly, it is about dates displayed within the filter pop-up itself.
If so, we want to note that searching clears sorting both for versions 2.8 and 2.9:
Please modify the JSFiddle if needed to demonstrate expected behavior on version 2.8.
