For data security reasons I can't send you a screenshot but I have noticed when formatting cells a number of options seem to get ignored. I am unable, for example to get rid of the thousand separator (i.e. the option when set to none has no effect) . I can't change the number of decimal points on measures either.
The left align and right align does seem to work .
We are using the param - useOlapFormatting but was under the impression this was just the default rendering which could then be overridden - is this not the case?

Yes, sure. It can be overriden. If you turn off useOlapFormatting option you will be able to modify number formatting. Please look at this video http://screencast.com/t/10gExmTZh7b
