Hi,
I have a multilevel hierarchy with one measure, 'Total Pallets' and I need to display this measure as a percentage of parent cell. I've tried '% of Column of Total Pallets', but it is not working as expected, it shows percentage of grand total, similar to '% of Grand Total of Total Pallets' aggregation.
I have attached 2 screenshots, one with my output, the other with an excel scenario I want to simulate.
It is a must to achieve this type of visualisation, so any advice will be super!
Thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for writing to us.
Currently, we have the following percentage aggregations: % of Row
, % of Column
, % of Grand Total
: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/8vq9Lgjs/
We would like to explain that calculating the percentage based on the parent's subtotal is not possible at the moment.
If we understand your case correctly, you would like to calculate the result based on the parent's subtotal, for example:
Instead of this:
Customer
Month Company A
Payment Method Sum of Revenue % of Column of Revenue
January 15 395.00 6.33%
Bank Transfer 7 667.50 3.15%
Credit Card 7 727.50 3.18%
You would like to achieve the following:
Customer
Month Company A
Payment Method Sum of Revenue % of Column of Revenue
January 15 395.00 6.33%
Bank Transfer 7 667.50 49.81%
Credit Card 7 727.50 50.19%
We have added your request to our customer's wishlist and we will inform you in case of any changes regarding this feature.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Best Regards,
Vera
Hello,
Thanks for your answer, even if it is not the expected one :(. I'll have my fingers crossed that you will come with a fix for this issue soon.
On the other side, why not implement a more general solution, by providing an API to register custom aggregate functions?
Best Regards,
Catalin
Hello, Catalin,

this not clear for me, how to apply on the calculated value
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
In Flexmonster aggregations are not applied on calculated values because calculated values define their own formulas.
We would like to explain that calculating the percentage based on the parent’s subtotal is not implemented at the moment and it seems it is not possible to achieve such calculations with calculated values.
We will inform you in case such a calculation is implemented.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Vera
Hi,
We are trying flexmonster pivot table and we are enjoying it.
I was trying to get a “percentage of parent row/column” has mention above, also with no success… Google it and found this!
This was a really cool feature, too bad it does not exist!
Regards,
Ricardo
Hello, Ricardo,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We do agree that it is a nice feature to have, that is why we have already added it to our backlog. Still, such a feature requires a tangible amount of developments that do not fit into the existing roadmap.
We will notify you as soon as something is changed.
Please contact us in case any additional questions arise.
