Hello,
Please see video: *********
We're getting an error informing us that our trial license has expired. However, the license quoted "*************" does not exist in our code. Please see screenshot of the error and a screenshot of our Prod License key in our configuration file.
The strange thing is, the FlexMonster UI works in some scenarios. It works when I want to create a report but it doesn't work when I'm trying to edit a report (see video). If I 'save' in our application, the trial error disappears and I can continue as normal.
Do you have any debugging advice for us? We use FlexMonster elsewhere in our platform without this issue.
Many Thanks
Hello, Chris,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
It seems the required license key is not passed to your Flexmonster instance. As a result, Flexmonster was using a trial key, and now the trial period has expired. Please note that Flexmonster requires a valid license key to work correctly.
With this in mind, could you please check if the license key is set in the component on the client-side? Here is a guide with examples of how to set the license key for Flexmonster: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/managing-license-keys/#set-license-key.
Also, we would like to mention that when raising future license-related questions, it is better to share license keys via private communication channels, for example, via email.
Please let us know if this helps to resolve the issue.
Waiting for your reply.
Kind regards,
Vera
Hi Vera,
In the code, we are using the correct key which is flexMonsterKey: "********************". The key mentioned in the error is not used in our code. This issue occurs when we only provide the headers to the flexmonster plugin and use flat form as the type of report.
Please let me know if you need more details.
Hello, Chris,
Thank you for your reply.
In the screen recording you provided, we noticed that you create the Flexmonster instance once the "Save" button is clicked.
Could you please share with us the code snippet of how you create the Flexmonster instance and where you set the license key for the new Flexmonster instance? This will help us to understand the situation better.
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Vera
Hi Vera,
This issue has been fixed now. The issue was the flexmonster plugin was being called before the key is assigned. Now, we have corrected the code and issue is resolved.
Many Thanks
