Jaco asked on May 15, 2020

Hi support,

I got an issue when i have about 10 columns in the classic view and not even that much data to show. When i drag a column to another position , it waits a long time and sometimes i get the "wait for the script or close this browser tab".
I will make a video of what happens and send it by email.

regards Jaco

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Our team has not managed to reproduce the issue on our end using the latest version of Flexmonster.
Please share your results with us along with any possible details you may have encountered.
More insight will help us to understand the situation better.

Hi Vera,

I have sent an email containing the video which shows the issue.
Some background information:

  • This report uses data from an index in Elastic Search (but i have the same problem when the data comes from sql server)
  • When loading, you can see that one member “Project status” is taking loading than the other members
  • There are no errors in the console
  • This is quite a straightforward report with only 70 records
  • When dragging a column, you can see that its not instant and that exceuting the new request for this search happens when the column is put in place
  • I use Chrome
  • I use Flexmonster version 2.8.6 (i see on the release note page that there is a new version since yesterday)

Regards Jaco

Hello, Jaco,

Thank you for sharing the video and for providing further details about the problem.

It does look like an issue, but still, we are not able to reproduce it with our Elasticsearch demo server.
Could you please provide a sample of your data index to reproduce the issue on our end (this can be done via email)?
This will help our team a lot to investigate the case further.

Looking forward to your reply.

Kind regards,
Vera
