I have used other javascript based systems where the column width is set from the field definition data. It seems that it would be easier and less complex to include a width attribute with the field. (uniqueName:"qtyinv","width": "150px", "format":"qty"}
The width could be applied to any row, column or measure.
Could this be considered for future development?

Thank you for your question. For now, our team does not have any plans on implementing such improvement. We realize that this feature is important for you, therefore we are going to restore it the way it worked in 2.3 version ETA Sep11. It will allow setting the max-width via CSS.
