We need Thai and Indonesian translation files for our Flexmonster usage

Hi Flexmonster,

We need to support Thai and Indonesian in our system that uses Flexmonster, however, it seems like these two languages are not supported on your end https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/localizing-component/.

In our case, it would be ideal to have the translation files available under CDN URLs along with the existing ones (like having new files for Thai and Indonesian in https://github.com/flexmonster/pivot-localizations)

Thanks,
Jason

Hello, Jason,

Thank you for writing to us.

Although we don't have Thai and Indonesian localizations yet, it is possible to create your own localization file and use it to localize Flexmonster. Each localization file contains a label list with its values (for example, see the English localization file). You could download the localization file and make two copies of it - one for creating the Thai localization and one for the Indonesian one. Next, replace all the label values with the Thai or Indonesian equivalent. Once the localization files are ready, they can be used in Flexmonster (please see the following guide).

Addressing your last point – it would be great if you could send us your Thai and Indonesian localization files, which would allow us to include them in the list of the ready-to-use localizations both on GitHub and CDN. You are welcome to share the localization files by creating a new pull request on GitHub.

Please let us know if this works and if any questions arise.
Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,
Vera

Hi Vera,

If we make an initial PR into your translation strings repo, will your team manage/update those 2 language files along with your updates?

Thanks

Hello, Jason,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, when new labels are added to Flexmonster, these labels get translated and added to all of the available localization files.
So, the new labels will be added along with our updates as well. In case you notice that there is a better equivalent for a new label translation, you are welcome to provide improvement suggestions by creating a new pull request on GitHub, and our team will update the new label translation accordingly.

Feel free to reach out if any further questions arise.

Kind regards,
Vera

Hi Vera,

We've (I'm a teammate of Jason's) added a pull request on the Github repo you linked. Would you be able to let the team know so it can get reviewed?

I only thought to ping you here too as there are open PRs from September on that repo and we'd rather not wait that long for this one.
Thanks,
Ernie

Hello, Ernie,

Thank you for contributing!

We have merged your pull request. Also, our team included the new Thai and Indonesian translation files in today's minor release of Flexmonster, making them available under CDN URLs:

This is available in the latest (2.9.10) version of Flexmonster: https://www.flexmonster.com/release-notes/.
You are welcome to update the component.

Many thanks!

Kind regards,
Vera
